Val D'Olse

The town of Auvers-sur-Olse rests along the River Olse. These river banks are a popular place for Parisians to spend a day fishing or picnicking. We visit several historic sites including Chateau of Auvers, the church at Auvers-sur-Olse and a statute by Zadkine. To the west of Paris, cliffs line north bank of the Siene. A number of castles are perched on these cliffs. We visit one of the most spectacular, Le Roche Guyon. The art of stained glass is explored and we take a trip to the weekly market. Recipes include: Soupe aux Champignons, Leg of Lamb, Smoked Trout with Crab Meat and Herring Fillets.
