We visit the land of Fredrick II and his enormous castles where today Aglianico Del Vulture is the outstanding red wine. Then on to Puglia to the estate of Torre-Quarto established by the French Rochefauld family who launched the wines of Puglia internationally and then on to the Rivera estate who produce Nero Di Troia in the shadow of Fredrick II’s incredible Castel Del Monte. Tormaresca, a recent acquisition by Marchese Antinori producing outstanding wines, and Locorotondo, the fabulous white wine from the land of Trulli, where the houses which were made of stone could be disassembled at the approach of the tax inspector.
