Burgundy

Situated between the Paris basin and Rhone Valley, this region is made up of four separate departments. As this area was once part of Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Northern France, we see a particularly colourful heritage. We visit the hills of Dijon with its golden slopes. Burgundy has many colourful traditions which date back for centuries and are still practiced today. Wood clog making is demonstrated. Each year’s vintage is celebrated by dancing. A folk group perform traditional dances.
